This massage therapy session takes place at Our Gathering Clinic (Salt Spring Island). Please ensure you select the "Our Gathering" location at the bottom of this booking page. Treatments with me are often deeply relaxing. Because of my background as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (trauma therapy) and end-of-life doula, I have a special interest in providing nurturing massage treatments to - relieve the stresses of caregiving - support those who are grieving - bring comfort to those with serious illness and in the later stages of life, and - help resolve symptoms of trauma I also provide general treatments to help your mind and body relax or recover from injury. Techniques may include: - shiatsu acupressure - foot reflexology - manual lymph drainage - swedish massage - gentle, stationary holds - myofascial release ** Session times include a check-in before and after the hands on treatment, holistic assessment, and home care suggestions, when you want them. At your first appointment, we will review an informed consent form, so you can feel empowered as an equal partner in the care you receive. As a Registered Massage Therapist, I can direct bill to many extended health plans.
