Gentle touch provided in the comfort of your own home or care home, to reduce physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering that often accompanies life-limiting conditions and life's later years.

We will work where you are most comfortable, in your hospital bed, wheelchair, or a reclining chair. Treatment can be provided through comfortable clothing, so getting undressed is optional. 

Sessions include a check in (with you, and/or your substitute decision maker) to determine your needs and to ensure informed consent is maintained throughout our time together. I may suggest after-treatment care that you (or your caregivers) can do for your continued comfort.

I am a Registered Massage Therapist, and can direct bill to several extended health plans. Please note, I can bring a portable reclining chair (very comfortable) if needed. If money is a barrier for you, please ask me about my sliding scale rate.

Mobile Palliative and Elders Massage (RMT)

This service is available at the East Van Studio. Please note, there are two flights of stairs to access the studio, and a small dog may be present.

General treatments to help your mind and body relax or recover from injury, as well as:

- relieve the stresses of caregiving
- bring comfort to those with serious illness and in the later stages of life, and
- support for managing chronic pain

I use a variety of techniques including shiatsu acupressure, foot reflexology, manual lymph drainage, swedish massage, myofascial release, and gentle, stationary hand contact.

As a Registered Massage Therapist, I can direct bill to many extended health plans.

RMT Massage Therapy (in studio)

For sessions in Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Burnaby.

Using gentle techniques of foot reflexology, this treatment may help relax your whole body, improve your quality of sleep, and benefit your mental health. All people are welcome to book my foot reflexology sessions (not limited to palliative care).

We will work with you in a comfortable reclining chair (that I bring, or one of yours).

The session includes a check-in to determine your needs, and to ensure informed consent is maintained throughout the treatment. Self-care suggestions may be offered.

Mobile Foot Massage (RMT)

Sessions may be helpful if you are experiencing

- grief, anxiety, depression, or other overwhelming emotions 
- fears about death or dying
- unresolved conflicts or hurts
- the challenges of caregiving
- finding your renewed purpose after a loss

Trauma-informed support for grief care, caregiver support, and/or to move towards peace.

Please book a 'Home Visit' for me to come to your home, care home, hospital, or hospice.

Individual Doula Session

I will come to you, at your home, in a hospice, or hospital. For people with life-limiting illnesses (no matter the stage of illness) and/or their caregivers.

This session can be used in any way that serves you best. Here are some examples:

- support for planning a natural or MAiD death at home
- assistance setting up community palliative support services
- learning about the signs of natural death, so you know what to expect (know when to call for medical help, and when it's okay to 'just be' with your loved one)
- working through unresolved emotional or spiritual matters
- working through grief or anxieties
- caregiver support

Doula Home Visit

Using a combination of discussion in the full group and triads, guided meditation, and real world examples, you will come away from this workshop with a holistic overview of how to prepare yourself (or a loved one) - practically, emotionally, spiritually - to have the most ease and grace possible during the end-of-life phase. You will leave the workshop with practical ‘next steps’ you can take to:

- complete medical-legal documents
- tend to 'unresolved business,' and
- create your own holistic end-of-life care plan.

An optional group follow-up session is available for completing the ‘next steps.’

All participants of the initial workshop will receive 15% off up to four (4) 1-1 private doula sessions with me over the following six (6) month period, for further support in completing the above mentioned ‘next steps.’

Let's work together to gently release old patterns, and find greater ease, peace, and self-compassion in life.

NOT limited to end-of-life concerns.

With your prior consent, gentle touch may be used to support your nervous system in re-learning how to feel safe, and to help it move through stress response patterns of fight - flight - freeze.
